Highland Soap Co's Story

The Highland Soap Co. is a family business based in Fort William and manufactures hand-made soaps, skincare and gifts. We have been lucky enough to work closely with it’s founders for over 10 years now; creating firstly the prominent logo and branding and expanding this to now the third version of their online store. We took the opportunity to review and optimise the structure and navigation, which required a more sophisticated platform.

The Challenge

We redeveloped the website using Magento as it allowed us more flexibility with filtering and cross-categorisation of products.This involved making the core ingredient-based ranges more prominent by allowing users to “shop by range” and by customising the colour scheme and setting depending on the range being viewed.

A beautiful ecommerce website that reflects the purity of the natural products on offer, whilst giving customers a unique user experience; the website continues to gather compliments as well as visitors and sales.

Refreshed Design, Refreshed Conversions

Ecommerce conversion rates significantly increased with the redevelopment of the site with conversion rates now substantially exceeding the industry average. The brand has been featured in nationwide departments stores, and the customised wholesale trade login area allows wholesalers to access trade prices and place bulk orders.
